Our Christmas Shoot.

Between Thanksgiving and Leyla's birthday (which was yesterday) I have not been able to post. Sorry guys!! I am still trying to let it sink in that she just turned 3! Sometimes I feel like it was yesterday that I walked through my door holding a car seat with my newborn. She is growing up so fast but I am enjoying every minute of it. Everyday I learn something new about her as her personality is developing and I can't wait to learn even more.

Today I wanted to show you some pictures I took of Leyla for our Holiday cards. I usually go to a studio but she turns out to be a bit shy with the photographer and we never get a good smile. Since I started this blog, I have been learning to use my camera. Though I still have a long way to go, I figure why not give it a try for her Christmas pictures. So I decided to look on Pinterest for some ideas on outdoor Christmas pictures and what props to use. I went to my local TJmax store to look for some cute props to use in her pictures and came across a wood tree that says "Joy to the World". For our setting, I went to Pelham Bay park. It is full of trees which is what I wanted for the background. Finally for her outfit, she wore a dress called "Campanillos" by Rochy. Between the green and pinkish floral print and velvet bow, this dress just shouts Holidays! It is currently on sale at Baby Spain for $47. To go along with it, she is wearing Condor winter openwork tights in beige also available at Baby Spain and burgundy patent leather Pascuala boots. So what do you guys think?
