For months now I have been apart of multiple resale and chat groups on Facebook which is great way to learn about brands, trends and styling tips. However one thing I noticed the most is when moms decide to mention a tee shirt they saw at Zara or a dress such as the one Leyla is wearing today that also looks like Bobo Choses. They mention how unoriginal or they make fun of the piece because no one should be damn allowed to do something similar to Bobo Choses. But what is fashion about? I never thought of fashion as being original. One designer does it and all follow suit. But do you honestly think the original designer just randomly thought it up?? No, they could have been inspired by artwork, history or whatever they might have seen in a book or magazine. It's just a rat race to see who gets it out first. Don't get me wrong, I love Bobo Choses illustrations because they remind of something I would find in a children's book or a child's drawing but do I think the price tag is worth it? No, I don't and maybe it's because they basic cotton pieces. So when I see Zara, HM or any other shop come up with something similar for a quarter of the price, I don't mind it at all. This is just my personal opinion. What do you guys think?
Here is Leyla wearing a Bobo Choses inspired dress from HM that cost me $12.
